We just love the feel of this casual, yet sophisticated outdoor wedding we had the pleasure of designing the flowers for.

Craspedia is a wonderful little yellow flower. Sometimes called, Billy balls, craspedia are great for adding a whimsical pop of yellow! These little spheres are available year round and, the best news of all, they are quite inexpensive!

Craspedia are very hardy and long lasting. Since they are so durable, they can easily be painted to accomodate your color scheme!

If you like the look of craspedia, but are on a tight budget, try yellow button mums!

Trend Alert: Rethinking Ribbon

As long as florists have been using flowers, they have also been using ribbon. But, good news- ribbon isn’t just for bows anymore!

Here are some fabulous new ways to incorporate ribbon into your wedding.

As a backdrop, or hung from a tree.

A way to dress up your chair backs.

As a dramatic chandelier.

A creative table runner.

A way to hang flowers and add a punch of color.

Introducing:: Allium

Allium are one of the coolest flowers! These large purple spheres really make a statement. They are available from January to August. While allium are a more expensive bloom, as you can see, just a few really make an impact. Use allium with care, as they are a part of the onion family and have a definite oniony scent. If you like the look of allium, but not the price (or the scent!) purple agapanthus are a great substitute!
