Real Weddings: Lauren & Jake
A fabulous fall wedding down in Nebraska City between one of the sweetest couples Jake & Lauren! They were such fun to work with and really put a lot of faith in me as all I had to show them for my idea of how the barn would look was a piece of paper on my big sketch pad with a lot of scribbles… but we think it turned out pretty great!

Lauren didn’t want anything to block the magnificent view of her ceremony site so we created these large moss balls and accented with flowers to help her wedding party know where to stand.
We grew about 200 succulents for Lauren and Jake to give away to their guests.
Along one side of the barn we hung pictures of the couple that started with Jake through his childhood into the couples relationship and progressed to Lauren and her childhood to see Lauren and Jake both as a couple and how they came to be a couple.
Lauren wanted her tables kept very simple so that the lighting in the barn could really stand out.
These simple arrangements were on some of the tables.
To really make the wedding pop we hung 9 lighted chandeliers over the guest’s tables. These were about 3′ across and had empty glass globes hung from greens. We then hung swoops of patio lights that went to the very top of the 65′ tall barn giving this wedding a very dramatic but earthy feel.
